The earliest runic inscriptions, the script "Futhark," comes the first six letters of the Runes and were used as a writing system. "Rune" translates to "secret" or "mystery." These symbols were carved into ships and doorways for protection as well as being used for divination. Today, runes are cast in a session for a deeper look on the situation or question. Runes are often viewed as more direct and can clarify the underlying forces influencing a situation offering more perspective on challenges, or opportunities and potential courses of action.
